History of Tui

Tui Management is proudly rooted in Auckland, where its founder, Kane Thompson (pictured left), was born and raised. Kane’s journey began at St Peter’s College in Grafton, followed by studies at AUT, MIT, and Unitec.

Now a qualified mechanical engineer and heavy diesel mechanic, with additional training in carpentry (level 3), Kane approaches challenges of all sizes with confidence and expertise. As a property owner himself, he developed a deep passion for real estate. While managing his own properties on Airbnb, he identified a gap in the market for a hands-on, reliable Airbnb management service—one that alleviates the ongoing demands of hosting. This insight led to the creation of Tui Management.

In building Tui Management, Kane partnered with a professional cleaning service, also based in Auckland, renowned for its exceptional standards. Their meticulous approach ensures that each property is reset to an immaculate condition after every stay. Additionally, they provide high-quality, crisp white linen and towels—details that have consistently enhanced the guest experience.
